1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat with 3-4 popcorn kernels in it. Move the pot over the burner to prevent burning. Make sure you have a lid on your pot!
2. Once the limited number of kernels have popped, add the remaining kernels and the salt. REMOVE THE POT FROM THE HEAT. Count for 30 seconds while shaking the pot.
3. After the 30 seconds, return the pot to the heat, making sure to move continuously- and continue popping until all the kernels are popped. Using this method it is possible to leave only one or two kernels unpopped.
Feel free to experiment with toppings and putting different spices in the oil to distribute them evenly.
