1. Lightly coat the asparagus with the olive oil and then salt and pepper.
2. Place the asparagus on the grill, bottom rack on low or top rack on high.
3. Keep a close eye on it and turn it occasionally to keep it from charring too much.
4. When it's just beginning to char, it's ready to eat. Take it off the grill and chow down!
